O Integrated Medical Teaching Outpatient Clinic at Centro Universitário Uninorteis one of the main highlights of the “Uninorte in Numbers – 2025 Edition” report.

The document highlights the significant contribution of the space to health care for the population of Acre, combining the practical training of future doctors with the provision of free and specialized services.

Operating in Acre since 2002, the institution has 23 years of commitment to higher education and social development in the region.

The initiative also strengthens the public health network, functioning as complementary support to the Unified Health System (SUS).

In 2025 alone, the Integrated Medical Teaching Outpatient Clinic recorded 16,850 consultations, distributed across various medical specialties.

Pediatrics led the volume of consultations, with 3,945 consultations, followed by the Medical Clinic, with 2,434 consultations.

These numbers reflect the high demand for basic and specialized services, especially aimed at children and primary care.

Other areas also presented significant numbers, such as Gynecology (1,122 consultations), Psychiatry (967), Orthopedics (953), Cardiology (833) and General Surgery (832).

The care provided at Uninorte also played a relevant role in strategic services, such as high-risk prenatal care (689), BERA examination (644), geriatrics (564) and pulmonology (344), in addition to care in neurology, infectious diseases and hematology.

The services also stood out in actions aimed at the health of women and children, with procedures such as PCCU, childcare, postpartum care, obstetric ultrasound, neonatology using the kangaroo method, IUD implantation and nephropediatrics, expanding comprehensive care at different stages of life.

The operation of the outpatient clinic is coordinated by professors Rita do Socorro Uchôa da Silva, Aline Fernandes, Ana Flávia da Costa Nobre Angel and Ruth Silva Lima da Costa, in addition to the management of health services under the responsibility of Samuel Silva Jardim, ensuring organization, technical quality and efficiency in care.

By presenting the Uninorte University Center, it reaffirms the strategic role of the Integrated Medical Teaching Outpatient Clinic as an instrument of social transformation, professional training and health promotion, consolidating itself as a reference in free and humanized care for the population of Acre.
