In 2024, Teatro Oficina performed a play in honor of the actress’ 88th birthday, the monologue “Vozes Humanas”. In the production, Vera played a woman going through a romantic separation.

According to the Brazilian Museum of Radio and Television, Vera was a model for Christian Dior (1905-1957) in France and dated filmmaker Ruy Guerra, 94.

In Brazil, she worked as a model for Pará fashion designer Dener Pamplona de Abreu (1937-1978) and was one of the founders of TV Globo on April 26, 1965.

In cinema, Vera Barreto Leite worked with director Roberto Santos in “O Homem Nu” (1997) and with Walter Hugo Khouri in “As Cariocas” (1966). His last appearance on the big screen was in the films “Alegria é a Prova dos Nove”, “Feira da Ladra” and “Tia Virgínia”, all in 2023.

At the end of the 1950s, she married actor Luís Linhares, with whom she had a daughter, Paula. From her relationship with Pedro Moraes, journalist and son of Vinicius de Moraes, she had Mariana de Moraes, 56, singer and actress.
