Babiš thanked the MPs for their vote of confidence: Ex-Prime Minister Fiala warns against a government of revenge and intimidation

Czech Prime Minister Andrej On Thursday, on the X social network, Babiš thanked the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament (PSP) of the Czech Republic for expressing confidence in his government. According to him, the Cabinet will do everything to make the Czech Republic the best place to live. In response, former Prime Minister Petr Fiala pointed out that the head of the government is a criminally prosecuted Prime Minister and that governance will be based on revenge, reports TASR.

In his contribution, Babiš emphasized that the main commitment for his government is the trust expressed by the people in the elections. He promised the citizens that they would be regularly informed about the implementation of their program statement, for which they elected them. “And I will repeat again – our government will do everything to make the Czech Republic the best place to live on the planet,” he wrote.

In response, former Prime Minister Fiala stated that “the Czech Republic will be governed by a coalition consisting of the Motorists, the pro-Kremlin SPD and the unscrupulous ANO, headed by the criminally prosecuted prime minister.” According to him, the most important goal of the new cabinet will be to get personal benefits, avoid personal problems and governance will be based on revenge and intimidation, similar to Hungary and Slovakia.

The government of Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš won the confidence of the PSP on Thursday evening. Deputies voted after a record more than 24 hours of deliberation. All 108 members of the coalition consisting of the ANO, SPD and Motoristi sebe parties expressed their confidence in her. 91 members of the opposition voted against.
