The Nobel Peace Prize winner took a while to answer whether she had offered the award to the President of the United States during lunch, turning her face to some supporters, who praised her in Spanish.

After accepting the appointment of Delcy Rodríguez as interim President, as provided for in the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Trump and the Venezuelan leader exchanged contradictory words, without it being possible to understand who was, in practice, in charge of Venezuela’s destiny.
Wednesday, after a phone call between the Interim President of Venezuela and Donald Trump, the President of the USA said he greatly appreciated her:
“Today we had a great conversation and she’s a fantastic person. In fact, she’s someone we’ve worked very well with,” Trump told reporters at the White House.
