Delcy Rodríguez says that the US attack tarnished the relationship and preaches diplomacy

The interim president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, stated this Thursday (15) that the United States military attack left a “stain” on relations between the two countries, and that the issue will be resolved “diplomatically”.

“There is a stain on our relations. When they crossed a red line, they attacked, assaulted, killed, invaded and kidnapped President (Nicolás) Maduro and the first lady (Cilia Flores). It is a stain on relations between the US and Venezuela. And this stain we said we will resolve diplomatically”, stated Rodríguez in his speech to the National Assembly of Venezuela.

The interim president added that the US is powerful, but that Venezuela is not afraid to face the situation through “political dialogue” and thus resolve the differences between the two countries “once and for all”.

“We know that they are very powerful. We know that they are a lethal nuclear power. We have already seen their record in the history of humanity. And we are not afraid to confront it diplomatically and through political dialogue to resolve this historical contradiction once and for all,” he stated.
