Flamengo announced this Thursday (15) the signing of goalkeeper Andrew, 24 years old, who arrives from Gil Vicente, from Portugal, to reinforce Rubro-Negro’s goal.
The player signed a four-year contract, valid until December 2029, and will be the club’s second reinforcement this window, after defender Vitão.
Andrew arrived in Rio de Janeiro accompanied by football director José Boto. At Ninho do Urubu, he signed his contract and visited the club’s facilities, beginning his adaptation to the new team.
O will pay 1.5 million euros (approximately R$9.5 million) to Gil Vicente to guarantee the goalkeeper’s immediate release. Andrew debuted for the Portuguese club’s professional team in 2022 and accumulated more than 120 appearances before arriving in Brazil. At Flamengo, he will have Rossi as his main competitor for the position.
