Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) criticized this Thursday, 15th, the transfer of his father, former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), to Papudinha. “If it were with former president Michel Temer, would Alexandre de Moraes be acting in the same way?”, wrote the senator on his X profile (formerly Twitter).
Flávio cited the fall that Bolsonaro suffered when he was imprisoned at the Federal Police Superintendence, in Brasília. “The medicines that Bolsonaro takes for his current chronic problem of hiccups have side effects such as imbalance and drowsiness. Specifically, he already had a fall in which he hit his head. Thank God it was nothing serious, but it could have been. He could, indeed, have been found dead – ALONE – in the Federal Police cell”, he stated.
The parliamentarian once again advocated that Bolsonaro return to house arrest. “I hope that, soon, the law will be complied with and Bolsonaro will be transferred to his home, the only place where this risk of falling can be mitigated – until doctors resolve the problem definitively,” he continued.
Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), ordered the transfer of Bolsonaro from the Regional Superintendency of the Federal Police, where he was imprisoned, to the 19th Military Police Battalion, Papudinha.
In the decision, Moraes highlighted that the transfer will allow for an increase in visiting hours (2h to 6h) and a greater number of daily meals (from 3 to 5). The room at Papudinha also has a larger area, measuring 64.8 m?, with a bathroom, kitchen, laundry room, bedroom, living room and outdoor area. The room at PF is only 12 m?, and accommodation is limited to a bedroom and bathroom.
