The new Harry Potter series, from HBO Max, scheduled to premiere in 2027, will feature a musical project that aims to honor the legacy of John Williams, while developing its own sound identity, adapted to the television format.
The renowned composer and producer Hans Zimmer, winner of multiple Oscars and responsible for emblematic soundtracks such as “Gladiator”, “Interstellar”, “Pirates of the Caribbean” e “Dune”will be responsible for the music for the new Harry Potter series, on HBO Max, scheduled to premiere in 2027.
The soundtrack will also feature the participation of Kara Winter e Anže Rozmancomposers who are part of the music company Bleeding Fingers Music, founded by Hans Zimmer.
According to the the objective is mainly to pay homage to the musical legacy left by John Williamscurrently 93 years old, composer who marked the Harry Potter universe and also gave life to some of the most iconic soundtracks in the history of cinema, such as “Jaws”, “Schindler’s List“, “Jurassic Park” e “Star Wars”.
At the same time, the composers aim to create a own sonic identity and adapt it to this new television format.
“Magic is everywhere, often beyond our reach, but just like in the world of Harry Potter, we just have to look for it. With this soundtrack, we hope to bring audiences a little closer to that magic, while honoring what came before,” he said. Hans Zimmer.
He further stated that Harry Potter’s musical legacy is a reference for composers from all over the world and who feels honored to join a team that he considers to be extraordinary in a project of this magnitude.
Hans Zimmer performs in Lisbon this year
The German composer has two shows scheduled in Lisbon, the March 31 e April 1at MEO Arena, as part of the tour “The Next Level”.
The concerts promise to include some of the most emblematic and unforgettable soundtracks of the musician’s career. Ticket prices vary between 60 and 120 eurosa large part of which is already sold out.
