In winter I only wash my floors with this. Removes stains and salt deposits

Cleaning the floor in winter can be problematic. Especially during heavy snowfall, when we bring a mud mixture into the apartment along with our shoes, i which, after drying, leaves streaks and white residue that are difficult to remove.

Water alone is usually not enough to get rid of them, but you don’t have to buy expensive chemicals right away. Instead of spending money, you can make your own cheap homemade floor cleaner from three ingredientswhich 90 percent of people have in their kitchen.

Have you always thought that keeping a clean floor in winter is impossible? That’s not true. There are gadgets available on the market that make it easier to stay organized, even at this time of year. The first one is well known: it’s the doormatthanks to which you can quickly shake off snow and other dirt from your shoes before entering the apartment.

An even better option is investing in a shoe brush mounted next to the door. Thanks to it, you will immediately get rid of dirt from the bottom, side and front edges of the shoes. Also those that have already dried. Another option worth considering is to purchase shoe trays into which water will drain and a moisture absorber. (may make sense especially with poor ventilation).

However, even the best security measures will not completely eliminate the problem of water stains and salt residues in the corridor, boiler room or living room. To remove dirt, prepare your own homemade floor cleaning liquid using three ingredients.

Homemade floor cleaning liquid – ingredients:

  • warm water – 2 cups
  • – 4 tablespoons
  • dishwashing liquid – 2 tbsp

Mix water, citric acid and dishwashing liquid, pour the liquid into a spray bottle and spray the places where you see dirt.. Then use a standard mop to clean the floor. It will shine like new.

But remember that citric acid should not be used on stone floors, such as marble or travertine, and should be used carefully (in spots) on wood and panels.and do not pour water on the surface so as not to damage it.
