Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), authorized the installation of a safety rail on the bed that will be used by former president Jair Bolsonaro in Papudinha.
At the beginning of this year, Bolsonaro fell at the Federal Police Superintendency of Brasília, where he was being held, and suffered a mild head injury.
Moraes, when changing the place where the former agent will serve his sentence, stated that he will be able to install “protective rails and support bars on the bed and in other places in the custody accommodations”.
This will be the responsibility of Bolsonaro’s lawyers, according to the minister, as well as the installation of physiotherapy equipment to meet the medical recommendations presented by the defense to the STF recently.
The magistrate also allowed him to have religious assistance once a week and “permanent weekly visitation” from the former first lady, Michelle Bolsonaro, and her children.
The former president will also be entitled to special food and physiotherapy. The former president has a series of health complications resulting from the knife attack he suffered in the 2018 elections.
The minister foresees that it can be moved immediately in case of emergency.
