José Alberto Carvalho ends TVI’s Jornal Nacional every day with “good news”, a final segment in which he likes to highlight a positive moment that happened in the country or in the world.
Last Wednesday, January 14, the journalist reported on a “meteotsunami” that occurred at Praia do Leblon, in Rio de Janeiro, reporting that the incident “did not result in any victims”.
What is the fact that the phenomenon happened, however it was not this year, meaning that, in the final stretch of this Thursday’s broadcast (15), José Alberto Carvalho made the “correction”.
“Before finishing, a correction. The images I presented yesterday were real, of a kind of meteotsunami at Praia do Leblon, in Rio de Janeiro. Unfortunately, they were not current, but from two years ago. My apologies for the error”he began by saying.
And then moved on to yesterday’s “good news”: “Now, to finish, and with all the data verified, good news”he said.
