Preliminary data from INE reveal that the majority of deaths (87%) were of people aged 65 and over and more than half (61.2%) of people aged 80 and over.

Statistics also indicate that, between January and November 2025, 80,206 swims-lives in the country, 2,304 more (3%) than in the same period of 2024, of which 235 from mothers residing abroad (268 in 2024).
In the first eleven months of the year, the accumulated value of the natural balance (difference between the number of live births and the number of deaths) was minus 28,937, while in the same period of 2024 it had been minus 29,854.
