Reporters Without Borders (RSF) is open for applications until January 30, 2026, for its Journalistic Research Grants program. The program finances reports on Enter this scope, persecution, judicial harassment, censorship, digital attacks and homicides.
At least five projects will be selected. The notice guarantees that at least one of them comes from each region of the country. Scholarships range from R$10,000 to R$15,000.
Journalists, popular and independent communicators, as well as press outlets can register. Projects can be text, video, audio, or multimedia.
The chosen topics will be announced on February 13, 2026. The chosen reports must be published by May 25, 2026.
Proposals will be evaluated by an independent committee, made up of representatives from RSF and invited professionals with experience in defending press freedom, and
The main criteria are the public relevance of the topic, journalistic interest, the originality of the proposal and the solidity of the methodology. Financial, technical and security viability, the potential impact of the reports, regional diversity and the team’s ability to complete the work on time are also weighed.
