A strike at the rolling stock maintenance supplier forces the suspension of trips and the circulation of vehicles with lower capacity.
A circulation do Metro no Port is being affected for a strike at rolling stock maintenance supplierwhich has forced travel to be suspended and vehicles with smaller capacity to circulate, was announced this Friday.
In , Metro do Porto states that the effects of that strike, “to which Metro do Porto is alien”, can be felt “still during a few days,” estimating that “from the end of January there is a normalization progressive availability of rolling stock”.
As he explains, the aforementioned strike has forced the deletion of “some trips” on “several lines“, or to which vehicles with less capacity circulate, i.e. “simple vehicles, instead of doubles.”
Metro do Porto regrets “the inconvenience caused” and assures that “every effort is being made to mitigate the impacts of this situation, seeking to guarantee, whenever possible, priority to periods and areas of greatest demand”.
