The first lady of , Cristiane de Freitas, used the expression “my husband” when commenting on posts by the governor (Republicans) on other occasions and contexts, before saying that Brazil needs “a new CEO”, last Tuesday (13).
“Another blessed Christmas by your side, my husband! May Christ always be the center of our lives and the reason why we celebrate”, wrote the first lady on Tarcísio’s Instagram, on December 24.
Two days earlier, she had commented on a video in which the governor took stock of his administration throughout the year: “Congratulations, my husband! There’s nothing better than starting the year off on the right foot!”
On November 15, Cristiane also used the expression in a post in which Tarcísio showed a surprise given to her, in a public diary, to celebrate their 28th anniversary.
“What a beautiful surprise! Thank you for everything, my husband. I love you,” she said.
On Tuesday (13), the first lady said that the country “” when commenting on a video in which Tarcísio appeared criticizing the economic policy of the Lula (PT) government.
The use of the expression generated controversy among supporters of (-RJ’s) presidential pre-candidacy, who interpreted the speech as a request for the governor to become the next president of the Republic.
For those close to the first lady, however, the fact that she frequently uses the expression as a vocative shows that she did not make such a suggestion.
Bolsonaro blogger Allan dos Santos commented on Instagram that Cristiane “unintentionally let it slip that her and her husband’s plan is the presidential sash.”
He also criticized the former first lady (PL) for sharing Tarcísio’s video. She said that Cristiane used the term “my husband” to address him in a conversation, and did not place him as a presidential candidate.
“This man [Allan] vent your thoughts regarding a like I made on the comment of my personal friend, Governor Tarcísio’s wife. I didn’t interpret her comment as if she was pointing out her husband as the CEO, but rather as if she was telling her husband that Brazil needs a new CEO, a new ruler… and we all know it does! Preferably,” said Michelle.
Allies of the former first lady told the Panel that Michelle released the video to provide more energetic support for Flávio’s pre-candidacy.
Tarcísio, this Thursday (15), said that the video. “We are saying the following: we actually need a manager who thinks about Brazil, who has the leadership to face the big challenges and solve the problems.”
