Journalism and the technology sector say goodbye to André Miceliwho passed away on Friday night (16), aged 46. Miceli was CEO and editor-in-chief of MIT Technology Review Brasil, a publication he brought to the country, and presenter of the Sociedade Digital program on Jovem Pan News. Recognized as one of the greatest references in innovation, the journalist was fighting pancreatic cancer, maintaining discretion about his health status while continuing to produce relevant content until his final days.
In an official note, MIT Technology Review highlighted Miceli’s unique ability to identify trends and analyze the impact of technology on everyday life, stating that his mark will remain definitive in the newsroom and in the community he helped build. On social media, friends and co-workers, such as the general director of Jovem Pan News, Carlos Aros, paid emotional tributes.
In addition to being a communicator and businessman, André was a professor and coordinator at FGV, being remembered by students and partners as a generous, intelligent human being who was passionate about what he did.
