The former first lady spoke with the minister of the (Supreme Federal Court) hours before she took () to Papudinha. The transfer was considered a victory for the group close to the former president, who feared a deterioration in his health at the Federal Police headquarters, where he was held until this Thursday (15).
The person who also contacted STF ministers in recent days was the governor of , (Republicans), to defend house arrest for the former president. Tarcísio spoke with Moraes himself, with Gilmar Mendes and two other members of the court.
Michelle and Moraes’ conversation, revealed by the portal, was mediated by the vice-president of the Chamber, Altineu Côrtes (PL-RJ), according to party sources told Sheetunder condition of anonymity. The meeting took place in the morning. The decision was issued around 5 pm. When contacted, the minister and the deputy neither confirmed nor denied the meeting.
According to people familiar with the conversations, Michelle asked Altineu for an audience with Moraes earlier this week. She would be worried about , who underwent surgery in the last few days of last year and, after the intervention, suffered a fall in the PF cell.
According to interlocutors, the parliamentarian was with the minister on Wednesday (14), when he informed him of Michelle’s desire for a conversation. Moraes informed that he would be open to listening to the former first lady.

May God reward them and bless them greatly,” said the former first lady on social media.
Damage reduction and insistence on home care
“Papudinha” is the nickname of the headquarters of a Military Police battalion in the Federal District that is located near the Papuda Penitentiary Complex. There, Bolsonaro has a larger cell with more structure, and that is why his transfer was considered a harm reduction.
In a note this Friday, the corporation stated that, as determined by Moraes, Bolsonaro “will not be able to share a cell with other custodians.”
“So he [Bolsonaro] is currently in an individual space, separated from other inmates, without any form of contact, coexistence, common circulation, joint meals or use of shared areas. Compliance with this measure strictly observes the court order and the principles of institutional security”, says the statement from the DF PM.
Bolsonaro chiefs complain about the former president’s situation. The leader of the opposition in the Senate, Rogério Marinho (PL-RN), told Sheet that Moraes puts Bolsonaro at risk of death.
“The transfer to Papudinha exposes the abuse: drug traffickers and murderers receive more humane treatment from the State than a man arrested for an impossible crime. (…) Even though the new prison is wider than the current one, with his age and comorbidities, Bolsonaro should be under house arrest”, stated the senator.
The leader of the opposition in the Chamber, Cabo Gilberto Silva (PL-PB), made a statement along the same lines. “We don’t want Papuda or Papudinha. We want him at home. It’s another martyrdom, we’re going to keep pushing for him to go home”, he declared.
