The recognition is, for now, national. The process now moves to Brussels, so that it can also obtain the European seal, like other regional products already certified, such as oranges from the Algarve and sweet potatoes from Rogil.

Demand soars in the summer, but Christmas is no different. It has been this way thanks to (ADRA), created three years ago to certify the sweet and guarantee its quality wherever it is sold.
