Doctor kills two colleagues after fight in Alphaville Plus, an upscale neighborhood in SP

A doctor, identified as Carlos Alberto Azevedo Silva Filho, shot dead two other colleagues after a fight in a restauranton Avenida Copacabana, in the Alphaville Plus neighborhood, in Barueri, Metropolitan Region of São Paulo. The man was arrested red handed on Friday night (16).

The shooting victims were Luís Roberto Pellegrini Gomes, aged 43, and Vinicius Dos Santos Oliveira, aged 35.

After the fight, the Municipal Civil Guard was called and attended the restaurant. The situation would have initially been controlled. During the approach, the agents questioned whether Carlos was armed, but he denied it.

However, moments later, Luís Roberto and Vinicius leave the place. At that moment, the doctor walked towards them, pulled out a 9mm gun and shot the victims several times. They were rescued, but did not resist. Watch below:

According to the SSP (Public Security Secretariat), the firearm was seized, in addition to fired capsules, a bag, various documents and R$16,140. The police represented by converting the arrest in flagrante delicto into preventive detention.

The case was registered as a homicide and location/seizure of an object by the Barueri Police Station, which requested forensic examination.

In 2025, doctor Carlos had already been detained in a , in Aracaju (SE).

Case reports

In the police report, there are reports of civil guards who searched Carlos’ waist. During the approach, they did not find any weapons on the man.

Other witnesses reported that they heard the discussions, saw the doctor take the gun out of a bag and fire the shots. One of the sources interviewed said they heard seven shots. Another reported having heard ten.

Who were the dead doctors

Luis Roberto worked as a cardiologist at a municipal hospital in Barueri. Vinícius, in turn, worked in Basic Health Units in Cotia. In a note of condolence, the city hall reported that he also worked at the field hospital during Covid-19.

The institution mourned his death and said that “Vinícius was recognized for his commitment to public service, his affection for patients and his good relationship with his work teams. He leaves behind a wife and a 1 and a half year old son.”
