Moderator Marcel Osztas († 37), whom everyone knew as Osťo, already looks down on his wife Ľubica, three-year-old son Oliver, loved ones and friends. He lost his battle with an insidious disease on Friday, January 16. He revealed the devastating news about his health to his fans on Instagram in December.
He knew from the beginning that the scales were not tilted in his direction, but he was determined to fight because he wanted to live very much. “This is what a person looks like who just finds out that his medical prognosis is very sad and the chances of survival are slim,” he confided to followers in December. Apparently, his health started to deteriorate already on Thursday. This is proven by the urgent contribution of the Catholic priest Martin Šafárik. “I am asking for prayers for Ost” he bequeathed through social networks.
The death of the moderator made the priest very sad. “Osta, rest in peace,” he said on Friday morning. Famous personalities such as rapper Separ and influencer Zuzana Strausz Plačková were also born. “Rest in peace, I will always remember you like this,” wrote Plačková on Instagram, where she published a video with him. Despite the difficult moments, he did not forget the people who kept his fingers crossed. “Greetings from the hospital… Despite the fact that I am experiencing the most difficult battle with myself and my own body, this year was paradoxically the best year of my life. He taught me an incredible amount and is still teaching me. A lot happened, a lot was experienced. We have created incredible projects,” he wrote on the last day of 2025. “If I could leave you one message, it would probably be this: Don’t take anything for granted. Everything can change from minute to minute. I wish you all love and health,” he said, giving me chills today.
However, in the fight against a difficult diagnosis, he wished for nothing but health. “PS: This is exactly how I want to hold my son’s hand and show him the whole world,” confessed the moderator in the last post on his Instagram account.
