Former first lady reposted text with modifications in several sections and asked followers not to judge her
Former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro excluded this Friday (16.Jan.2026) a text on social media in which he said that the Papudinha facilities – where Jair Bolsonaro (PL) was transferred – are “less torturous” than the Federal Police Superintendence cell where the former president was. He arrived at at the Custody Center of the Military Police of the Federal District on Thursday (January 15).
An hour after publication, Michelle changed the text in several sections. One of the changes was the replacement of “less torturous”” by “less harmful to health”. Furthermore, he deleted a paragraph in which he stated that Bolsonaro “did not commit any crime” and that “everything was wrong from the start”.
The former first lady also removed a part of the text in which she highlighted that “the certainty of injustice remains”, in addition to excluding a mention of the family union around Bolsonaro, in which it said: “I, my daughters and my stepchildren – the children of my love – are united to take care of our leader, father and husband.”.
Despite the changes, in which she reiterated her commitment to continue fighting to bring her husband home. She also asked her followers not to judge her personally: “To those who also love and defend my love, our leader, I ask that you do not take me to the court of personal judgment, that you do not rush to judge me or create labels with political connotations.”
In a more conciliatory tone, Michelle also expressed her gratitude to the efforts of the Federal Police, thanking them for the support provided to Bolsonaro during his time at the Regional Superintendence of the Federal Police. In the new post, he wrote that “In due time, you will understand all things.”
Bolsonaro was sentenced in September to 27 years and 3 months in prison for crimes related to the attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law, coup d’état, participation in an armed criminal organization, qualified damage and deterioration of listed property.
