PT asks the PGR to investigate pro-Tarcísio posts – 01/17/2026 – Panel

The publications covered the inauguration of a section of the Rodoanel Norte, the reduction of IPVA for motorcycles, the charge for intervention at Enel and the fight against feminicide. The posts, the news continues, are in contrast to the topics normally discussed in these profiles, linked to entertainment.

“The journalistic investigation revealed the existence of a possible scheme of hiring profiles of great virtual reach, through companies and individuals, with a clear purpose of making posts beneficial to Tarcísio de Freitas”, cites the PT document.

According to the news, the magazine “points out strong evidence that the praise of the governor of the State of São Paulo did not occur due to the mere editorial liberality of these pages, but through financing with financial resources whose source and motivation are unknown”.

The PT mentions the need to investigate possible acts of administrative improbity and its authorship and abuse of economic power, from an electoral perspective. For the party, there is “a pressing need for this Attorney General’s Office to carry out the due investigation to clarify the facts, promote the punishment of those involved in cases of illicit practices, prevent similar conduct and safeguard the protection of administrative probity and the 2026 electoral process.”

When contacted, the government of São Paulo denied having hired the influencers and profiles mentioned by Piauí. “The Government of São Paulo reinforces that there was no public investment in the publications mentioned in the report”, it indicates, in a note.

“The state management only carries out institutional and public benefit campaigns, always with the aim of providing transparency to management actions and disseminating information of public interest. All campaigns are in full compliance with the constitutional principles of legality, impersonality, publicity and efficiency.”
