Representatives of the EU and Mercosur countries sign trade agreements


Vienna/Brussels/Asuncion – Representatives of the European Union and the South American Mercosur states Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay signed the free trade agreement between the two economic blocs in Asunción. This will create one of the largest free trade zones in the world with over 700 million inhabitants and a combined economic output of around 22 trillion US dollars (19 trillion euros).
