It comes from Asia, specifically Thailand, and its visual features perfectly reflect the climate of this beautiful country. The plant’s greatest decoration are its colorful flowers, which arrange themselves like layers.

Also remember not to open the windows too suddenly in the room where you grow turmeric. Drafts and sudden drops in temperature are what he dislikes the most. When it goes dormant (its leaves turn yellow), you can limit watering and move it to a cooler room.
