US human rights group confirms more than 3,000 dead in Iran after protests


Tehran – More than 3,000 people have been killed in nationwide protests in Iran, according to a human rights group. The US organization HRANA said on Saturday that it had confirmation of 3,090 deaths, including 2,885 demonstrators. It has been comparatively quiet in the capital Tehran for four days, said several residents contacted by the Reuters news agency.
