The leader of the PCC (First Command of the Capital) in the Northern Region of Brazil, Jardel Neto Pereira da Silva, known as “MC Dedel”, was arrested this Friday (16). His wife, Layla Lima Ayub, is a delegate of the São Paulo Civil Police and was also arrested, suspected of involvement with the faction.
The arrest occurred during Operation Serpens, launched by the MPSP (Public Ministry of São Paulo) together with the General Inspectorate of the Civil Police of São Paulo and Gaeco (Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime) of Pará.
In addition to the two warrants from and MC Dedel, other orders were served seven search and seizure warrants in the cities of São Paulo and Marabá.
Jardel Neto Pereira da Silva (MC Dedel) is identified by the police as one of the leaders of the PCC in the state of Pará and the North of Brazil.
On social media, he displayed weapons, large amounts of money and faction symbols, such as the “Tudo 3” gesture and group-specific tattoos.
Dedel also used profiles with the code names “Vrau Nelas” and “Americano”, and posted videos with songs that support “1533” (code for the PCC) and make explicit threats to police and members of rival factions.
Jardel had already been tried and convicted of the crime of drug trafficking and for joining the PCC, a case that had already become final. The accused had been on parole since November 19, 2025.
According to the police investigation, MC Dedel would be in Roraima with the purpose of supporting members of the criminal faction to which he belongs, that is, the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC).
Furthermore, it was found that Dedel would be implementing a new guideline in the faction’s regional representation in Roraima aiming to prioritize minors in the execution of crimes, especially homicides, seeking to make the faction’s criminal liability more difficult.
The police report reveals an even more dangerous facet of “Dedel”: the planning of attacks against the State. Documents seized indicate that he was organizing attacks against members of the Judiciary, the Public Ministry and security force agents.
Jardel’s arrest occurred after monitoring teams recorded the moment he handed drugs to a motorcyclist. At the investigator’s residence, the agents found hidden portions of skunk.
Understand the relationship between Layla and MC Dedel
Layla, who had previously served as PM (Military Police) in the state of Espírito Santo, took office in São Paulo on December 16, 2025. On that date, the two began to live together in São Paulo.
According to the Civil Police, both had a romantic relationship.
During her inauguration as delegate, Jardel was present at the ceremony, held at Palácio dos Bandeirantes. An occasion in which several authorities were present, including governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos-SP).
In the decision that authorized the arrests obtained by CNN Brasil, judge Paulo Fernando Deroma de Mello classifies Dedel’s move to the state of São Paulo and his presence at the inauguration as “audacious”.
He also states that this would not be allowed because the man is on parole and cannot leave the district without authorization and prior notice.
Furthermore, the investigation showed that the couple was negotiating the purchase of a bakery in the east zone of São Paulo. Establishment that would be used for money laundering.
The investigation still seeks to understand the real level of Layla’s involvement with the criminal faction and what her duties and demands were within the organization.
