Larnaca is in turmoil, after what happened around 15:30, in the center of the city. The first information was about a fight and the next shots were fired, outside a hotel located near the Police Headquarters.
Strong police forces went to the scene, but without locating any person. Central road arteries around the scene of the episode, including the busy Grigori Auxentiou that leads to Finikoudes, were blocked, with investigations ongoing.
According to Philenews, Greek Cypriots and foreigners were involved in the fight, while an injured person was found in a hospital. The Police have information on at least three other injured people, whom they are trying to locate.

According to the Spokesman of the Larnaca Police, Spyros Chrysostomou, blood stains were found at the scene and for this reason, the investigations were extended to the Larnaca Hospital and clinics, in order to establish whether the injured sought treatment.
From the data available to the Police, it appears that a person known to the authorities, a resident of Larnaca, is allegedly involved in the incident. The process of identifying and identifying the persons involved in the incident is proceeding immediately and the issuance of arrest warrants is expected.
