Austria’s handball players were unable to celebrate a sense of success in the second group game of the 2026 European Championship. After the opening defeat against Germany, there was a deserved 25:30 defeat against Spain. The chance of promotion to the main round is therefore very low; on Monday we will be aiming for a positive conclusion to the European Championship against Serbia, which Germany surprisingly defeated.
