The (Landless Rural Workers Movement) will hold this Friday (23) an act in solidarity with the presence of a representative from the Venezuelan embassy, in an initiative that will take place during the group’s 14th National Meeting, held in Salvador (BA).
The meeting will start this Monday (19) and end on Friday. The expectation is that 3,000 members of the movement will participate, which turns 42 on the 22nd. The last national meeting of the MST was held in 2009.
According to the movement, topics such as the fight for land, the construction of the Popular and the socialist struggle will be debated. There will also be plenaries, meetings, debate cycles and cultural presentations.
“This meeting will point out to us the next lines and political decisions for the coming periods, with the study and debates on the challenges of the international situation and the organization of food production by Landless families, the presentation and approval of the new organicity of the MST, in addition to a lot of celebration and culture”, says Eliane Oliveira, from the national directorate of the MST.
