Slovak show business was hit by very sad news on Friday, January 16. Moderator Marcel Osťo Osztas died at the age of 37 after a battle with a serious illness. He admitted the first problems on the social network at the beginning of December 2025. He just fought with pancreatic cancer, which is one of the most insidious forms. The moderator should have been troubled by warning signs for three years, writes the website.
He hid what was really bothering him. “This is what a person looks like who just finds out that his medical prognosis is very sad and the chances of survival are slim,” he wrote right at the beginning of the picture in which his back was turned and he was looking out the window.
He didn’t give up. “I decided to fight like never before! I want to live! Watch how it can be done. It’s going to be a ride…Keep your fingers crossed! Thank you all for your support. I’ll talk to you when I have the strength again,” he told his fans at the time. However, several posts about his struggle deleted from his social networks.
Osť’s diagnosis was confirmed by his good friend and well-known rapper Separ, whose real name is Michael Kmeť. “When you went to the emergency room a month and a half ago with a stomach ache, after we opened the last K Park together, I joked that your wind stopped. And you basically stayed there. When they told me that it was a pancreas in an ugly stage, I collapsed like a little boy, because I had already been in that ward once and I knew that there was usually no way out of this.” described Separ.
“Nevertheless, we believed, we alerted everyone and everything that could help just a little bit, I’ve been living it so intensely for the past weeks that my days are already running out. The bloody helplessness as your condition continued to deteriorate was unbearable. I’m crying even now. Bro, I hope you’re in the best place and that you’re setting up a box for us backstage, so that we have somewhere to run when it comes to us too. I miss you terribly,” sent him a message to heaven.
Osťo had been experiencing health problems for about three years, but he attributed them to normal lactose intolerance, and therefore he did not pay more attention to them. “Everybody has digestive problems nowadays. In many cases, frequent diarrhea is just the result of lactose intolerance, and unfortunately, Osťo also thought that,” the source said.
The first serious suspicions appeared in September last year, when he helped the rapper Separ with the organization of a spectacular concert at the football stadium. At that time, many people were struck by his significant weight loss for no apparent reason. This symptom can accompany several serious diseases, including pancreatic cancer. However, most people explained his change in appearance as a difficult and stressful period.
