Supposedly drunk driver collides with a box of rubble and destroys the front of a vehicle in Rio Branco

A traffic accident involving a car and a box of iron debris left the driver Wendrel Gustavo, 29 years old, with bruises and caused the destruction of the front part of the vehicle on Saturday night (17), on Avenida Ceará, in the Estação Experimental neighborhood, in Rio Branco.

According to witnesses, Wendrel was driving a white Fiat Strada with license plate BBX-9H05, in the neighborhood-center direction, when he initially collided with the rear-view mirror of another vehicle. He then lost control of the steering wheel and violently crashed into an iron rubble box positioned on the side of the road.

With the impact, the front of the car was completely destroyed and the debris spread across the asphalt. Despite the force of the collision, the driver only suffered minor injuries.

The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called and sent a basic support ambulance to the scene, but Wendrel refused to be taken to a health unit.

Military Police from the Traffic Battalion isolated the area to carry out the investigation. According to the PM, the driver showed visible signs of alcohol intoxication and refused to take the breathalyzer test. Given the situation, he was detained and taken to the Flagrantes Police Station (Defla) for the appropriate procedures.
