Trump invites Lula to join the ‘Peace Council’ on Gaza

Lula has not yet responded to Trump about the invitation

The President of the United States, invited on Friday (16) the head of the Executive, (PT), to join the so-called “Peace Council” on Gaza that the republican intends to found. The information was reported by journalist Jamil Chade, from ICL Newsand confirmed by Young Pan.

According to a federal government source, Young Panthe White House delivered an invitation letter to the Brazilian Embassy in Washington, United States. Lula has not yet given a response to Trump.

This Saturday (17), the president of Argentina, announced through a publication on X (formerly Twitter) that it was to join the “Peace Council” as a founding member. The Argentine leader shared a reproduction of the invitation letter signed by Trump.

In the document, the republican called Milei to “join” in “an effort of great historical importance to consolidate peace in the Middle East”. According to Trump in the invitation letter, the initiative is part of the presented by him in September 2025.
