President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva received the invitation sent by the Trump administration to join the Peace Council

The President of the United States, began implementing its so-called Peace Council for the Gaza Strip in the post-war period, and several heads of state confirmed having received invitations to join it.

According to the American president’s plan, there will be a Peace Council, chaired by Trump himself, a Palestinian technocratic committee to provisionally administer the territory and another “executive council” that would have an advisory role.

The White House published an initial guest list and said new names would be added.

but has not yet responded to the request, according to confirmation from Itamaraty to AFP.

PEACE COUNCIL

The White House said the Peace Council will address issues such as “strengthening governance capabilities, regional relations, reconstruction, attracting investment, large-scale financing and capital mobilization.”

Donald Trump will be at the head of this Council.

NATIONAL COMMITTEE FOR GAZA ADMINISTRATION

This body, made up of technocrats, “will oversee the restoration of essential public services, the reconstruction of civil institutions and the stabilization of daily life in Gaza,” according to the White House.

Ali Shaath, former deputy minister of the Palestinian Authority, will chair the committee.

GAZA EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

This entity “will help support effective governance and the delivery of high-level services that promote peace, stability and prosperity for the people of Gaza,” according to the White House.
