In stoppage time of the second half, the referee awarded a controversial penalty to Morocco, which even made Senegal leave the field and return some time later.

Who is Brahim Diaz?

Brahim Diaz is a 26-year-old midfielder who plays for Real Madrid and is one of the main stars of the national team Morocco. Born in Spain and holding dual nationality, he began his career at Málaga’s youth academy before moving to Manchester Citywhere he debuted professionally.

After being signed by Real Madrid in 2019, he spent three outstanding seasons on loan at Milanwhere he won the Italian Championship title and matured his football.

Known for being an extremely technical and ambidextrous player, Brahim returned to Real Madrid to become a fundamental part of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, accumulating important titles such as the Champions League and the Spanish Championship.

Recently, he made the decision to defend the national team of Morocco, the country of his ancestors, becoming the new number 10 and technical leader of the African team.
