Bulgarian President Radev announces resignation before parliamentary elections


Sofia – Bulgarian President Rumen Radev announced his resignation a few weeks before the planned parliamentary elections in the EU member state. He will resign from office on Tuesday, Radev said in a televised speech on Monday. In Bulgaria, parliament will have to be re-elected in the spring for the eighth time in five years after several parties rejected the formation of a new government. The election is expected to take place at the end of March or April.
