It turns out that they don’t disappear in winter at all. Contrary to appearances, they can survive at low temperatures. Interestingly, they would not be afraid of even several dozen degrees of frost. In spring, as soon as it gets warmer, they immediately start feeding.
Few gardeners know that they lay eggs even in autumn, without fear of the coming winter. They place them on shoots and branches, attaching them to the buds. They withstand up to -25 degrees Celsius.
The larvae are also found on evergreen plants. Sometimes we can notice them on the leaf blade. They look like bright corridors.

Why does oil spraying work against aphids? A greasy layer of oil is deposited on both adults and larvae. Therefore, access to air is limited. As a result, the larvae have no chance to hatch. Thanks to this, we will significantly reduce the problem with these pests in the garden.
