The derailment of two high-speed trains in Adamuz (Córdoba) this Saturday afternoon is serious. An Iriyo train has left the rail and has fallen on the track where an Alvia was traveling in the opposite direction. Emergency services have reached the scene and are helping to remove trapped passengers. The crashed Iryo company train was carrying 300 people and, at the moment, the reasons for the derailment are unknown. “There are many injured, I’m still shaking,” says María San José, 33, a passenger in car number 6 of the train that went from Malaga to Madrid. The Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, has acknowledged in a message in X that the impact of the trains “has been terrible” and has assured that “the latest information is very serious.”
