Vinicius Jr.’s bad phase reached such a point that Real Madrid fans lost patience with the Brazilian striker. Despite the 2-0 victory against Levante last Saturday (17), fans of the merengue team expressed their feelings for the former Rubro-Negro, booing the player.

One of the players “spared” by the fans was Kylian Mbappé, who has had a good season for Real Madrid, having already scored 30 goals. Taking advantage of his current prestige, the Frenchman took the opportunity to support his Brazilian teammate in this difficult phase, asking Vinicius Jr for support.

— I understand the fans because we are not doing things right. What I didn’t like was that if they booed, they should have booed the entire team. You shouldn’t point the finger at a player. It’s not Vini’s fault that we’re playing like this. That’s all I have to say: don’t attack just one player. It’s our fault, collectively, and we have the character to change that on the field,” he said.

— I’m not Vini (laughs). If you want, I’ll look for him (laughs). I don’t have to give advice. I’m no one to give them advice. The only thing that is my responsibility is to take care of him, protect him… When he is happy, it is different — he concluded.

Currently, Vinicius Jr. has played 29 games this season, having scored six goals and eight assists. Real Madrid occupies second place in LaLiga, with 48 points compared to rival Barcelona’s 49.
