Construction of what will be the world’s new tallest building in Saudi Arabia is approaching a major construction milestone.
A JEC Tower, Saudi Arabiaadvances at full speed towards 100 floors, thus getting closer to meeting the scheduled completion date of 2028.
The engineering company involved in this construction confirmed, at the end of December, that the building has already exceeded 80 floors. If it continues at this accelerated pace, it should reach 100 floors in the coming weeks, joining the group of around 25 buildings around the world that have reached this milestone.
The architects (AS+GG) recently stated that the building will have at least 157 floors and will exceed a height of 1 km in the Saudi port city of Jeddah, although the exact final height has not yet been officially released.
This will make it significantly taller than the current tallest building in the worldo Burj Khalifa (828 meters of height and 160 stairs).

O project is led by Saudi prince Al Waleed bin Talal Al Saud and has been ongoing for more than a decade.
