EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen signed the free trade agreement with the South American Mercosur states Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay in Paraguay. She said on Saturday at a ceremony in Paraguay’s capital Asunción that after 25 years of negotiations, both sides had decided on “fair trade” and a “long-term partnership”. The agreement is intended to create one of the world’s largest free trade zones
