A video circulating on social media has attracted attention by showing the Military Police’s actions in recovering a stolen motorcycle, in Porto Velho, with the help of a GPS tracking system. The images were recorded by the owner of the vehicle, Luciano Araújo, who followed the entire incident.

According to the report, the motorcycle was taken during a robbery that occurred in the central region of the capital of Rondônia. Shortly afterwards, upon realizing the crime, Luciano accessed the tracking system installed in the vehicle and managed to identify the exact location indicated by the equipment.
With the information in hand, he called the Military Police close to the address indicated by the GPS. The teams traveled to the location, in the São João Bosco neighborhood, where they found the motorcycle and recovered it.
The quick action prevented further losses to the owner and highlighted the importance of using monitoring technologies as a support tool in combating property crimes. The case also reinforces the role of integration between the population and security forces for effective results.
