Since the beginning of research into the case, Pacaccini, who defends the appearance of the creature in the city and the existence of extraterrestrial beings, defended, in testimony present in the inquiry investigating what was called the “Incident in Varginha” published in 1997, that: “If we give ourselves even a moment for a reflection free from prejudice and taboos, we will have to ask ourselves very credulous that space travelers also have the same similarity with us: head, torso and limbs”, referencing the creature described having been seen in Varginha.

Another ufologist who also experienced the case up close at the time, Ubirajara Rodrigues, said in a documentary about the case, shown at the beginning of January this year on TV Globo, that he committed “the big mistake that ufologists make”, about having believed and encouraged alien theories without much basis or concrete evidence, and that today he no longer believes in the narrative of ET’s appearance in Varginha.
