The Civil Police of Amazonas arrested, this Monday (19), Felipe Júnior, former animator of the Boi-Bumbá Garantido Folklore Associationafter serving a preventive arrest warrant for rape of a vulnerable child against a 10-year-old child. The arrest took place in the Dom Pedro neighborhood, in the center-west zone of Manaus.
According to the investigation, the victim’s mother contacted Depca (Specialized Police Station for Child and Adolescent Protection) after discovering that the suspect was sending messages with sexual content to her daughter.
According to delegate Mayara Magna, responsible for the case, the child was heard in a special statement and reported that she did not like the man after being the victim of sexual abuse committed by him. when she was just six years oldduring a weekend when he was in his company.
“She said that, out of fear, she didn’t tell her mother what had happened, she claimed that she had been hurt somewhere and ended up crying about it,” said the delegate.
According to the delegate, the victim said that, since then, he had not been in contact with Felipe. However, he contacted her again by phone, and started asking for images of the child in exchange for money.
The court then ordered the preventive detention of Felipe Júnior, which was carried out in the early hours of this Monday (19). During interrogation, he claimed that he believed he was talking to the child’s mother. Despite this, according to the delegate, the suspect saved the victim’s number with her name and added the word “daughter”.
The man also said he would pay a fare via app for the girl to meet him. Upon seeing the messages, the mother feared that further abuse would occur and immediately contacted Depca.
A search and seizure warrant was also executed, where two phones and some flash drives were seized, which will be sent for forensic examination.
He will respond in physical and virtual mode and will be available to the Court.

We vehemently repudiate any conduct that violates fundamental rights, especially those that undermine the integrity and dignity of children and adolescents.
We reaffirm that every child has the inalienable right to live and develop in a safe, secure environment free from any form of violence.”
