Gladson considers the mayor’s wishes legitimate, but reaffirms his commitment to the pre-candidacy of vice-governor Mailza Assis in 2026.

“We live in a democratic state and I respect Mayor Tião Bocalom’s right to be a candidate for government. However, my position remains unchanged: my candidate for state government will be Mailza”, he stated in a note sent to the ContilNet report.

On the same note, the governor praised Mailza’s work.

“She is vice-governor of Acre, naturally a pre-candidate for the state government. A woman who brings loyalty to management and trust to everyone around her, in addition to carrying out work for Acre families with competence and excellence”, he pointed out.

Finally, Camelí made a point of remembering that Mailza was one of Bocalom’s biggest supporters in the race for Mayor of Rio Branco.

“She was one of the biggest supporters of Bocalom’s candidacy for mayor of Rio Branco, and her name has been available to Progressistas for this mission since last year. I will always defend unity so that Acre continues to prosper and win”, he concluded.
