Green cookies are a hit. A real hit for coffee and tea

Matcha, a special type of green tea ground into dust, is becoming more and more popular in Poland. The Japanese specialty is served in the form of an infusion in many cafes and restaurants. Matcha is also a great addition to various types of dishes, especially cakes and cookies. Thanks to Japanese tea, baked goods, apart from their extraordinary taste, gain a beautiful green color. It is also worth remembering that matcha is a source of many valuable health ingredients, in particular antioxidants.

  • 180 g of rice flour,
  • a teaspoon of baking powder,
  • a pinch of salt,
  • 110 g of butter,
  • 70 g sugar,
  • a teaspoon of sugar with vanilla,
  • egg,

2. Sift the matcha, flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Combine with the butter mixture.

3. Mix the chocolate grated on a coarse grater into the mixture.

4. Make small balls from the mass. Flatten them with your hand and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

5. Put the tray in the oven preheated to 180°C. Bake the cookies for about 12 minutes. Set aside to cool (hot cookies will be soft – they will become brittle when they cool down).
