Jimmy Butler, 36, of the Golden State Warriors, suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and will miss the remainder of the season in the NBA, the North American basketball league.
Butler was injured on Monday (19) during the third quarter of the duel against his former team, the Miami Heat, defeated by Golden State 135-112.
After leaving the court, he underwent an MRI exam that confirmed the rupture. There is no time for him to return in the 2025/26 season dp ca,épmatp.
Golden State, led by star Stephen Curry, currently occupies eighth place in the Western Conference and is fighting for a direct spot in the playoffs. The last NBA title won by the team was in 2022.
A six-time All-Star Game pick in his career, Butler joined Golden State a year ago after a long contract dispute with the Miami Heat.
This season, he was averaging more than 30 minutes on the court and 20 points per game. He shone last Thursday (15), contributing significantly with 32 points to the Warriors’ victory over the New York Knicks.
