Nikolas walks from MG to Brasília against arrests of 8/1 and Bolsonaro

Federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) began a walk last Monday (18) in protest against the “unjust arrests” of January 8, 2023 and the “persecution” against the former president (PL).

The “walk for freedom and justice” began in Paracatu (MG) and, according to the parliamentarian, should end next Sunday (25), in Brasília. The route is around 240 kilometers long.

The action was announced by Nikolas through an open letter on social media.

“This walk is not a silver bullet. It is not a gesture to solve all of Brazil’s problems, nor does it intend to replace institutions, laws or the duty of each citizen. It is, above all, a symbolic act – and symbols matter more than many imagine”, stated the deputy on the networks.

Other parliamentarians also began to participate in the mobilization. This Tuesday (20), deputies Gustavo Gayer (PL-GO) and André Fernandes (PL-CE), in addition to councilor Carlos Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), appeared alongside Nikolas Ferreira in published records.
