Vienna/Schwechat – Vienna Airport is expecting a decline in passengers this year. After the record 2025 with 32.6 million passengers, the board is only forecasting around 30 million for 2026, as the operating company announced on Tuesday. The profit will therefore shrink from 230 to 210 million euros. The largest customer, the Lufthansa subsidiary Austrian Airlines (AUA), is reducing its fleet, the low-cost airline Ryanair is withdrawing aircraft and Wizz Air has said goodbye completely.
