Institutos Kaleo, Maria Matos, and IDE announce Solidarity Itinerant Health Action in Sena

Through an unprecedented partnership of great social relevance, the Kaleo Institutes, Maria Matos, and IDE, announced the holding of the first edition of the “Itinerante Solidarity Health Action” program in Sena Madureira. The initiative will involve the participation of several specialized professionals and its main objective is to expand access to health services, promoting reception, prevention and a better quality of life for the population. The services will be free and open to the entire community.

The action is under the coordination of the president of the Maria Matos Institute, Edigardina Matos, and her husband, Jairo Cassiano, a couple recognized for their history of relevant social services provided in different municipalities in Acre. The project reinforces the commitment of the institutions involved with humanized care and attention to families in situations of greater vulnerability.

According to the schedule, the first community to receive services will be Boca do Iaco, next Monday (26), starting at 8 am. Throughout the day, residents will have access to consultations with specialists in cardiology, rheumatology, nutrition, neurology and general medicine, as well as dental, general mental health and psychological care, ensuring a comprehensive approach to physical and emotional health.

Next, on the 27th and 28th of January (Tuesday and Wednesday), the Solidarity Itinerant Health Action will be held at the Igreja Matriz Nossa Senhora da Conceição, in the center of Sena Madureira, with services from 7:30 am to 5 pm. A large flow of people is expected, especially those who face difficulties in accessing specialized health services.

Closing the program, on January 30th, the team will head to Comunidade dados, located on the Caeté river. The services will take place at the Philadelphia Baptist Church, under the presidency of Pastor Rozânio, bringing medical and social assistance to one of the most remote regions of the city.

The initiative reaffirms the commitment of partner institutes to bringing health, dignity and hope to the urban and rural communities of Sena Madureira, strengthening solidarity and basic health care in the municipality.
