Mykhailo Fedorov announced to journalists his two priorities: expel anyone who does not meet the objectives; and death to the Russians.
A week ago, on January 14th, the Ukrainian Parliament met three new ministers: Deputy Prime Minister, Defense and Energy.
Mykhailo Fedorov changed folder. He was deputy prime minister and was also minister of digital transformation – where he led drone production projects, among others. And the new defense minister.
A week after his appointment, Mykhailo Fedorov shows what he’s coming for. In a conversation with journalists this Wednesday, he announced his two priorities: expel anyone who does not meet the objectives; and death to the Russians.
The first priority is management. That it has to be “built around those who can achieve the objectives that are defined”. Anyone who does not achieve these objectives “cannot continue in the system”, says the .
The minister’s second priority has a number: “Kill 50 thousand Russians per month“.
Fedorov did the math: “Last month, 35 thousand died. All these losses were confirmed on video. If we reach 50 thousand, we’ll see what happens to the enemy. They see people as a resource – and the scarcity of resources is already becoming evident.”
Given the lack of official numbers (on both sides), Ukraine estimates that there have already been more than 1.2 million Russian casualties.
Even so, Russia continues to achieve victories on the ground – while Ukraine is experiencing serious difficulties, especially in terms of the number of soldiers on the front line.
